The European Network of Safety and Health Professional's Organizations (ENSHPO) is delighted to offer an annual programme of webinars on a range of topics of mutual interest to OSH practitioners.
ENSHPO was established in 2001 under the umbrella of the European Agency for Health and Safety at Work (EU-OSHA), acting for and on behalf of all European countries, ENSHPO is the leading voice of Environmental, Health and Safety professionals in Europe to promote EHS standards at work and engage with decision makers and regulators. IOSH is a proud member of the network.
Until recently sustainability was a concept that was not aligned with safety, health, and environment, now at the beginning of the 21st century and with climate change affecting our planet, it is time to stop considering them as independent concepts, and to have the capacity to integrate them.
Their points of union are not only the environment, which is seen as the most obvious, but also their social branch, which incorporates the perspective of society, and therefore the workers that form part of it.
For those companies that are thinking about incorporating sustainability into their corporate strategy, or for those that are already doing so, we must not forget that every change in our production process brings with it changes in our working procedures, so the EHS professional is the facilitator, taking responsibility for creating a roadmap for the new objectives and, at the same time, ensuring that the company's rigorous health, safety and environmental standards are maintained and applied throughout the transitions. In other words, the EHS department provides the planning, measurement and oversight needed when implementing sustainability efforts within a new strategic framework.
Hosted by Rudolf Géczi, we are delighted to welcome three ENSHPO members to share their insights in how to incorporate sustainability in EHS management:
In this webinar you will learn:
Louise Hosking (IOSH)“Catch the Wave: how safety and health at work delivers resilience through social sustainability”
Alfredo Tommasone (AIAS)“Integration of EHS in Sustainability Governance of Companies and their Supply Chain”
Mr. Ulderigo Zona, SHEQ Executive Officer - Hitachi Rail“A case study: Sustainability in Hitachi Rail”
